Anderson Germany Shows Some Carbon Love to Ferrari 458 Italia


Improving upon the appearance of an Italian supercar is always a daunting feat, but Anderson Germany decided to give it a try anyway with its Ferrari 458 Italia Carbon Edition special.

Naturally, the highlight of the tune is the carbon fibre outfit that includes the front lip spoiler, front bumper flaps, wide side skirts, a discrete rear lip spoiler, engine air outlets, rear side window air intake grilles and front bumper ventilation grille.

Hyundai Storms the SEMA Show with Six Veloster Project Cars [116 Photos]


The Camaro may have won the SEMA Award for the “hottest car” of the show for a second year in a row, but Hyundai made its presence felt in Las Vegas with a huge variety of tunes, most of which focused on the new Veloster three-door sport hatch.

The South Korean maker displayed a total of six Veloster project cars at this year's aftermarket show. Aside from the RMR Veloster Rally Car, there's the PM Lifestyle concept, a turbocharged model from ARK Performance, and the gaming-, tech- and music-themed studies from Remix.

Shocker: Ford Slaps a $39,995* Sticker on Pure-Electric 2012 Focus EV


Ask any owner of a Nissan Leaf or Chevrolet Volt, and they'll tell you that going green comes at a cost – not necessarily at the electric outlet, but at the dealership.

Same goes for Ford's foray into the electric-car market, the all-new 2012 Focus EV that carries an MSRP of $39,200 plus a $795 delivery and handling fee* that brings the total to $39,975. That's more than double the cost of the entry-level Focus SE 5-door hatchback.

Valet Parking Employee…Time Struggles to Park Lamborghini LP640 Versace Roadster


If we could somehow hide the brand and type of car seen in this video, you would probably call the valet parking employee's efforts to park the vehicle in front of the entrance of the Mall of Emirates in Dubai hopelessly frustrating.

However, once you get a look of the car, it all becomes clear: the young man is apparently trying to spend as much time as he can behind the wheel of the bespoke Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 Roadster VERSACE Edition, of which only a handful were ever made.

BMW 730i Pickup Truck Should be Put Out of its Misery


While we're no strangers to regular sedan or coupe model being butchered into pickup trucks, there are some conversions that literally beg to de destroyed.

One such example was found at German used car dealership "PKWundLKWankauf" (try saying that it twice).

The victim is an E32 BMW 730i sedan, which left the Munich brand's factory in 1989 fitted with an 188HP 3.0-liter straight six coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels.

Mopar Unveils 800HP Viper V10 for Drag Racing, Plus New Crate Engines and Performance Parts at SEMA


If you think the stock Viper is a brutal machine, imagine the Dodge sports car fitted with a Mopar-upgraded 800HP V10 like the one unveiled at the SEMA show.

The new engine, codenamed P5155872 Performance Series V10, has been developed especially for drag racing. It features an aluminum block and aluminum cylinder heads, forged steel crankshaft with forged steel connecting rods and forged aluminum pistons with a high compression ratio of 12.5:1.

Fiat Introduces Subtly Updated 2012MY Sedici Crossover in Europe


The last time Fiat performed upgrades to its Sedici small crossover was in 2009, but the Italian company still has a few mild improvements planned for the 2012 model year.

The visual tweaks for the 2012MY Fiat Sedici mainly consist of the redesigned exterior mirrors that incorporate turning signals and are finished in a metallic gray hue, the introduction of a Purple Rebel color (pictured above), fresh alloy wheel designs and new upholstery for the interior.

In a somewhat surprising move, Nissan today announced that its Infiniti luxury brand would establish its new global headquarters in Hong Kong.

Nissan originally launched the Infiniti brand in 1989 exclusively for the North American market but has since expanded its marketing operations to include the Middle East, Russia, Europe, South East Asia and other regions.

Peugeot Officially Unveils New 208 Supermini Ahead of Spring 2012 Launch [Photos and Video]


After yesterday’s leak of the first pictures of the new Peugeot 208, the French company went ahead and officially revealed its brand-new supermini that will replace the current 207 series.

The A9 project, which is the new 208’s internal designation, is very important for Peugeot as it will compete in the highly competitive European B-segment rivaling the likes of the Ford Fiesta and Toyota Yaris.

Its significance for Peugeot is evident in the marketing tag applied by the company's management: “Re-Generation”. The French firm's Marketing and Communications Director, Xavier Peugeot, said: “The 208 is a new illustration of the marque’s project launched two years ago, representing a new stage in Peugeot’s desire to drive itself towards even greater modernity.”

Sonic Boom: Chevy Rocks the SEMA with One More Concept of its Subcompact Model


The 30 or so Sonic and Cruze concepts along with the numerous Camaro project cars that have been presented at this week’s SEMA Show, haven’t stopped the flow of new Chevrolet exhibits in Las Vegas.

As you can probably guess by its name, the Sonic Boom is all about sound. The subcompact model features an audio system developed by Chevrolet and Kicker with its design and component placing said to be inspired by jet engines.

Camaro is SEMA's Hottest Car for Second Year in a Row


Among the hundreds of cars that are on display at the 2011 SEMA, one stood out: it was the Chevrolet Camaro that received the SEMA Award for the “hottest car” of this year's edition of the Las Vegas aftermarket show.

The Camaro received the award for being the most accessory-friendly car of the 2011 SEMA, based on the number of aftermarket parts available in the exhibition.

Watch a Florida State Trooper Arrest a Fellow Officer in a Police Car for Speeding!


Just when you felt life was getting a little bit mundane, along comes this video to remind you that anything can happen in this crazy world.

A Florida highway patrol trooper who was identified by the Miami Herald daily as D.J. Watts, is making headlines today after a dash cam video showed her arresting a fellow Miami officer in a marked police car for –wait for it- speeding!

The footage shows Watts chasing Miami Police Officer Fausto López, 35, after he repeatedly ignored her warnings to stop and drove to speeds of up to 120mph (193km/h) on Florida’s Turnpike in Broward County.

2011 SEMA: Chevy’s COPO Concept Previews NHRA Drag Racing Camaro


Among other offerings, Chevrolet brought to Las Vegas the COPO Camaro, a racing car concept built according to NHRA Stock Eliminator drag racing.

Designed to be fitted with more than one engine options, the SEMA Show COPO concept models is powered by a supercharged 327 engine but can accommodate both the naturally aspirated 7.0-liter 427 (the same capacity as the original 1969 COPO) and the supercharged 5.3-liter 327.

Honda Debuts Seven 2012 Civic Si Coupes and Sedans at SEMA Show


It was more or less expected that Honda would put a lot of emphasis on its not-so-well received 2012 Civic range at this year's edition of the SEMA aftermarket show in Las Vegas.

The Japanese brand brought along a total of seven modified Civic Si Coupes and sedans including a two-door model equipped with a limited-edition Honda Factory Performance (HFP) package and several concepts.

“The Honda Civic was instrumental in the first import-tuner movement in the U.S. during the ‘80s,” said Bruce Smith, vice president of Service and Technical Operations for American Honda. “The all-new Civic Si builds on that proud history by offering inspiring performance, improved fuel economy and a great platform for personalization.”
