Currently, about one third of the world population has TB infection, every second has a new TB infection and each year about 3 million people died of tuberculosis. As assessed by the World Health Organization, in 2009, Vietnam ranked 12 out of 22 countries with highest burden of tuberculosis globally. In Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, in 2009 the number of TB patients receiving the 1387 patients, 137/100.000 proportion of the population, mortality due to TB infection was 5.3%.

CAUSES OF TUBERCULOSIS
Disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis or Bacille de Koch (BK) attack any part of the body, but is most common in the lungs (called pulmonary TB). TB bacteria reside in the body and spread from person to person when coughing, sneezing, talking. Meanwhile, the TB germs will get in the alveolar air and then proliferate and cause harm here. Those close to inhaling the TB bacteria and germs have accidentally brought (TB infection).
Most people infected with TB have absolutely no expression what, TB bacteria can survive potentially wait until the body's resistance weakened and emerging pathogens.
SYMPTOMS OF TUBERCULOSIS
- They are different on the two week long (at first after a dry cough with phlegm, sometimes a few rays of blood stained sputum).
- Weight loss, loss of appetite, feeling tired body, weight loss during the first months.
- Ra sweating at night.
- Mild on, chest pain, anorexia.
- Coughing up blood.
- There are chills.
- Sometimes patients do not show clearly, the patient remains healthy, normal life, only when health checks discovered he had tuberculosis.
Because of this diversity that patients easily overlooked or mistaken for other lung diseases. So when the above symptoms, especially cough lasting over three weeks, the patient should be examined immediately. If detected and treated early, small lung lesions, the number of TB bacteria are less able to heal as high, over 95% and did not leave sequelae adversely affect future health.
Sputum test is the best way to identify tuberculosis. When should the doctor will require X-ray of the lungs.
TREATMENT OF TUBERCULOSIS
Currently TB can be cured if treated early, correct and complete. Upon detection of tuberculosis, the patient must go to the medical facility for examination and treatment. It is important that patients have to abide by these unless advised by your doctor is your treatment: medication dose enough, enough time and necessary provisions are not removed a single medication to avoid drug resistance .
For patients who are infected with TB bacteria were resistant (primary resistance) or acquired drug resistance, the TB treatment no less difficult, costly. On the other hand, the location of the disease also affects the effectiveness of treatment. Patients with reduced resistance to infections such as HIV / AIDS, diabetes, malnutrition, the higher the failure rate. Alcoholics, people with mental illness rarely heed the instructions of the doctor, they often take medication irregularly or quit halfway. Who are intolerant of drugs must be replaced by other drugs, dose reduction or discontinuation is also prone to failure.
PREVENTION OF TUBERCULOSIS
Immunization: BCG vaccination for children today is the most effective measures to actively prevent tuberculosis. BCG vaccinated children were often able to avoid the heavy labor as dangerous as TB meningitis, TB statistics, spinal tuberculosis are diseases that can cause death or disability leave lifelong sequelae.
For patients: Need detected and treated early, regular medication, re-examinations regularly to the treatment your doctor may be effective or not.
Patients can not be indiscriminate spitting, coughing or sneezing are required to hand or mouth tissue, when the disease should be developing their own sleeping beds, bowls using chopsticks, cups boiled separately and must be boiled after use; clothes, blankets must be boiling hot weekly after washing.
For all people: Need to keep the place in the open air, full of light, avoiding overwork, physical exercise, have a reasonable diet, have expressed doubt as TB infection should seek medical immediately.
